Lynx Model Works is a thriving succesful business specialising in Steam Engines of all kinds. LMW was formed by John Clarke, a model engineer with over 38 years experience in producing live steam locomotives, traction engines, stationary and steam launch engines and rolling stock, based in the county of Lincolnshire (Lincs) in the United Kingdom. We now have a Workforce of 14 - all producing beautiful models and full-sized steam boat engines.
We produce real steam locomotives in any gauge/scale from gauge ‘0‘ (1.25inch) to 10.25 inch, (including 35mm, 45mm, 2 1/2”, 3 1/2”, 5”, 7 1/4”, 9 1/2” and 10 1/4”) together with Traction Engines to 6” scale, Model and full-size Stationery and Steam Launch Engines. They are all made to order or special commission.
