Lynx Model Works Ltd is pleased to announce the launch of a new product onto the Model Engineering and Collectors market - A range of Coal Fired Vertical Boilers for Stationary Steam Engines and Model Boat Use. These boilers are designed for traditional coal firing using anthracite, giving the wonderful aroma of the mix of smoke and oil whilst running your stationary engine in the way for which it was originally designed. They can, however, be readily converted to Gas Firing for use inside a house when you wish to do this.
Our first product is a Vertical Coal Fired Boiler, designed to be easily capable of running a horizontal or vertical engine of up to 1” bore and 1 1/2” stroke at speed. This unit will also provide the steam required to power a slow running beam engine of greater size.
The all silver-soldered copper boiler is specified as follows and is supplied complete with the following fittings, fitted at no extra cost:
Safety Valve, tested and pre-set,
Pressure Gauge & Syphon,
Water Gauge and Glass with blowdown,
Water Inlet Check Valve (for re-filling in use),
Steam Outlet Wheel Valve,
Steam Blower Valve (both on manifold),
Ceramic Fibre Lagging,
3 polished Brass Boiler Bands (to retain optional cladding),
